Trip to Learn Spanish in La Rioja for School Groups
Learn and Discover La Rioja
A program combining Spanish classes with cultural visits and authentic experiences in La Rioja and its surroundings. Students will explore historic cities, local traditions, and enjoy unique activities, all while staying with host families for a full immersion.
Includes:
- 6 nights at Residencia Jordán on a half-board basis. Shared rooms. Teachers in single rooms.
- 12 hours of Spanish classes at La Rioja Spanish School (personalized study program, teaching materials, and attendance certificate)
- Guided tour of Logroño’s old town

Itinerary proposal:

Day 1 – Arrival in Logroño
Arrival in Logroño and accommodation with host families. Dinner at the accommodations to rest and prepare for the experience.
Day 2 – Classes and historic center visit
After breakfast, students attend Spanish classes at La Rioja Spanish School. After a free lunch, a guided tour of Logroño’s historic center to discover its cultural and architectural richness. Dinner at the accommodations.
Day 3 – Artist workshop and visit to historic wineries
In the morning, Spanish classes. In the afternoon, meeting with the guide at the accommodation to visit the workshop of local artist José Antonio Olarte with a didactic activity. Then, a guided visit to Bodegas Franco Españolas, exploring the spaces that have witnessed Rioja’s history since 1890: the Tinos room, barrel room, and old bottle storage. Participants will learn the secrets of winemaking for over a century, and adults can taste grape must and wine. Dinner at the accommodations.
Day 4 – Classes and visit to World Heritage monasteries
After classes, the afternoon is dedicated to visiting the Yuso and Suso monasteries, birthplace of Castilian and declared World Heritage sites. Dinner at the accommodations.
Day 5 – Excursion to Bilbao
In the morning, departure to Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum. After a free lunch, a guided tour of Bilbao’s historic center before returning to Logroño. Dinner at the accommodations.
Day 6 – Classes and walk on the Camino de Santiago
In the morning, Spanish classes. In the afternoon, students will walk the Camino de Santiago from Logroño to Parque de la Grajera (about 6 km). Afterwards, they return to Logroño for dinner at the accommodations.
Day 7 – Free morning and return
Free morning to enjoy Logroño before returning to the place of origin.

Booking conditions:
A payment of 40% of the total trip cost is required to confirm the budget, with the remaining 60% due 30 days before arrival. Services are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
Cancellation and refund policy:
- The first payment serves as a booking deposit for the trip and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
If, for any unavoidable reason (illness, accident, etc.), a student is unable to participate in the trip, the remaining amount (70%) will be refunded, provided the minimum number of participants is met, according to the following conditions: Between 15 and 29 days before arrival, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.
Between 8 and 14 days before arrival, 25% of the paid amount will be refunded.
If canceled less than 7 days before the arrival date, no amount will be refunded.
