Discover Madrid and Toledo: Culture, history, and homestay immersion
This 5-day educational itinerary is designed to provide students with a cultural and linguistic immersion in the heart of Spain. We will begin by exploring Habsburg Madrid and its vibrant recent past through the route of the Movida madrileña, blending art, architecture, and tradition. The experience continues in Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage city, where students will stay with local host families, attend Spanish classes accredited by the Cervantes Institute, and take part in cultural and hands-on activities such as museum visits, a marzipan factory tour, and a photo rally.
A journey that combines learning, cultural exchange, and personal discovery.

Day 1 – Arrival en route
Destination: Madrid. Estimated arrival the next day.
Picnic brought by the students.

Day 2 – Discovering Madrid
Arrival in Madrid. Around 10:00 am, breakfast with hot chocolate and churros in central Madrid. Next, guided tour of Habsburg Madrid (Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Plaza de la Villa, Royal Palace, Plaza de Oriente, Plaza de España, Gran Vía). Free lunch. Guided visit to the Reina Sofía Museum. At 5:00 pm, departure by coach to Toledo. Around 6:00–6:30 pm, meeting with host families in Toledo and distribution.
Dinner and time sharing with families.

Day 3 – Linguistic immersion
Breakfast with host family. From 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Spanish classes at Aula Toledo, accredited by the Cervantes Institute. Lunch prepared by families. Themed guided tour of Toledo.
Dinner and overnight with host family.

Day 4 – Culture and nature
Breakfast with host family. Visit to a museum with activity (several options depending on date). Visit to a marzipan factory. Photo rally along the river, passing Toledo’s beach (7 km).
Dinner and night with host family.

Day 5 – Farewell from Madrid
Breakfast with host family. At 8:30 am, departure to Madrid. Guided visit: The Movida madrileña route. Picnic lunch prepared by families. Free time to buy souvenirs.
Departure from Madrid between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.

Booking conditions:

A payment of 40% of the total trip cost is required to confirm the budget, with the remaining 60% due 30 days before arrival. Services are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

Cancellation and refund policy:

 

  • The first payment serves as a booking deposit for the trip and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
    If, for any unavoidable reason (illness, accident, etc.), a student is unable to participate in the trip, the remaining amount (70%) will be refunded, provided the minimum number of participants is met, according to the following conditions:

  • Between 15 and 29 days before arrival, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.

  • Between 8 and 14 days before arrival, 25% of the paid amount will be refunded.

  • If canceled less than 7 days before the arrival date, no amount will be refunded.

With a group of students I have been two times at language school “Prestige” in Rosas. It is a very nice language school; small and, perhaps therefore, very personal. I have been in other Spanish cities as well with students, but in Prestige they are very quick in getting to know the students. The families where the students stay during their study week are lovely as well; they really try to make the students (ours are only 14) feel at home. The main building of the school is located at 500 meters from the sea which is great, especially with nice weather.
