Itinerary proposal:

Day 1 - Arrival and Historic Tour of Logroño

Departure from place of origin. Accommodation.

In the afternoon, a guided walking tour of the old town will begin, including emblematic places such as the walls, the Parliament of La Rioja, the route of the Camino de Santiago through the city, the Church of Santiago, Plaza de la Oca, the Iron Bridge, the Rioja Culture Center, and if open, some wine cellars and a 16th-century calado. The route continues through the Pilgrim’s Hostel, the Stone Bridge, the churches of Palacio and San Bartolomé, the Palace of Chapiteles, the Co-cathedral of La Redonda, the Market Square, the Food Market, Portales Street, the Rioja Museum, and the Espolón Promenade.

When open, entry to the main monuments and temples will be included (free admission during worship hours).

To finish the day, participants will enjoy a pintxo route through the famous Calle Laurel, a highly valued local tradition. Return to the hotel and rest.

Day 2 - Monasteries and Culture in La Rioja

In the morning, meeting with the guide at the hotel. We start with a visit to the Paleochristian Basilica of Tricio and continue to San Millán de la Cogolla to discover the monasteries of Suso and Yuso, the cradle of the Spanish language. Then, lunch en route, and in the afternoon, visit to the Monastery of Santa María la Real de Nájera. Return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Monuments and Medieval Villages

In the morning, meeting with the guide at the hotel and departure to Haro for a monumental visit: Gardens and Basilica of La Vega, Old Bank of Spain, Hotel Los Agustinos, Plaza de la Paz, City Hall, Torreón Museum, Bendaña Palace, Herradura area, Church of Santo Tomás, and the Atalaya viewpoint.
Lunch en route.
In the afternoon, visit to the medieval towns of Briones and San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
Return to Logroño.

Day 4 - Fungitourism and Natural Heritage

Meeting with the guide and departure for a Fungiturismo experience to learn about mushroom cultivation. Then, visit to Arnedo, the City of Footwear. Lunch in town.

In the afternoon, visit to the Cave of the Hundred Pillars. Its origin dates back to the Middle Ages when insecurity in the valleys forced inhabitants to seek refuge in safer places, in the mountains or literally “underneath them.” In the early medieval period, it probably housed the Monastery of San Miguel within its chambers. Return to Logroño.

Day 5 - Historic Towns and Religious Architecture

In the morning, meeting with the guide at the hotel. Visit-walk of Ezcaray (mountain tourist town).
Visit Santo Domingo de la Calzada and its Cathedral. The visit consists of a walk through the historic area of the city, Calle Mayor and Camino de Santiago, access and interior explanation of the Tower-Wall of Sor María de Leiva, Plaza de la Alameda, and the exterior of the Brotherhood of the Saint, Plaza del Santo, Torre Exenta, Hermitage of the Virgin of the Plaza, Parador del Santo, interior and exterior explanation of the Cathedral of the Savior, Plaza de España, and Royal Jail (guided visit inside).

Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit to the Cistercian Abbey of Cañas.
Return to Logroño.

Day 6 - Medieval Village and Free Afternoon

In the morning, meeting with the guide at the hotel and visit to the medieval town of Laguardia and its spectacular polychrome portal of Santa María de los Reyes. Return to Logroño and free afternoon.

Day 7 - Return Home

Return to place of origin.
