Gastronomy of Ampurdán

The Empordà’s cuisine is about typical food and drinks of the Empordà cuisine. Called cuisine of the sea and the mountains and sometimes “gastronomic reserve” of Catalonia.

The Empordá forms, with the exception of Cabo de Creus, a large plain enclosed between the Pyrenees, the Sierra de las Gavarres and the mountains of the Selva littoral.

The geographical characteristics of the Empordà region offer the most varied range of agricultural, livestock and marine products.

La Cuina de l’Empordanet is the name of the collective that brings together a wide group of professionals from the kitchen and the restaurant that since 1995 has been working with the objective of promoting the gastronomic quality of the territory and identifying Ampurdán as a gastronomic destination of the first magnitude.
